KICK ASH

Kick Ash encourages young people to choose not to smoke and participate in activities in 'smoke-free' environments. Developed by NHS Dudley in partnership with Dudley Youth Services. Young people living in the Dudley Borough have opportunity to submit ideas for project and apply for a small grant, which they will use to support work, which encourages young people to become smoke free.


IT'S GOOD TO BE YOU

Artists worked in 7 schools to develop a series of creative projects in response to the key messages promoted by TaMHS (Targeted Mental Health in Schools) 'It’s Good To Be You' project.


SEX & RELATIONSHIPS EDUCATION

The Sex and Relationships project developed a combined arts project in partnership with young people, resulting in the production of a resource pack. The project raised awareness amongst young people about how to manage risky behaviours and support them to make positive choices.


SMOKEFREE

Children, families and school staff have been involved in producing an interactive DVD which will be used by schools to engage children in conversation about smokefree spaces in the home. As part of this process they have designed visual resources and branded the smokefree children message.


CANCER AWARENESS - Life is Precious

NHS Dudley commissioned Walsall Creative Development Team to deliver a series of creative art workshops with Black and Minority Ethnic Communities to raise awareness of cancer symptoms and screening services, and to create visual resources to promote the key messages.

PRAXIS CASE STUDIES

PraXis has worked with NHS Dudley to develop, implement and evaluate of a wide range of exciting arts and health projects.

This work started in 2010 and the projects have been commissioned as part of a range of public health interventions. All of the projects involve a diverse range of artists and arts organisations and have been independently evaluated.
